Origami, Making Folding Fun
Have you ever encountered those intricate paper creations that someone folded into tiny swans, boats, or even flowers? Have you ever thought, “how can folding paper be fun?” Origami, or traditional Japanese paper folding is an art that’s typically taught through visual images. Over the last few years, a group of friends have worked together to make origami accessible to blind and low-vision people through written instructions. So pull out some pieces of paper and join Lisamaria Martinez for a 90 minute fun and informative exploration of origami, and unlock your inner artist!   This workshop is recommended for teens and adults.

Materials Recommended: 3 to 5 pieces of printer paper; origami paper is great, but not necessary
