Career Conversations with Khadija Bari
Join the team at APH CareerConnect for our very popular Career Conversations
Series. APH ConnectCenter staff and guest cohosts will welcome, introduce, and engage with working blind and low vision professionals from all backgrounds. Doctors, lawyers, teachers, Musicians, Scientists, and many others will step onto the CareerConnect stage on zoom throughout 2022. Each interview will begin with a discussion on how our featured working professional started out and ended up in their career, including how advocacy, determination and confidence played a role throughout their successful journey.
The remainder of the hour-long session will provide an opportunity for Transition age students and curious job seekers to follow up with choice career related questions. Registered attendees including young adults, job seekers, teachers and rehabilitation professionals can engage our guest through real time Q&A networking by practicing informational interviewing.

Born in Pakistan, Bari immigrated to the United States at the age of 22 with her parents and younger brother. It is then that she learned she had a disability and was diagnosed as being legally blind. Join CareerConversations on September 1 as we meet Khadija Bari, and learn how her blindness doesn’t stop her from achieving her entrepreneurial professional goals and ambitions with VISIONS and Meat and Bread.
